Do you think this is Global Warming?

While hurricane John is hitting Los Cabos in the Baja California (Mexico)there is certainly something wrong in the athmosphere.

I was there almost 10 years ago and when I landed at the airport of cabo San Lucas I was extremely impressed by the desert all around me.
Baja California is a very long peninsula (1000 mile, 1600 Km) just south of the borders between the United States and Mexico. It's arid like the Sahara and it'very hard to find water there.
If you would like to have very detailed information about Global Warming effects, there are a couple of documentaries to be watched: Al Gore's movie "An inconvenient truth" and a very well done documentary on the Discovery Channel.
By the way I just want to talk about a few effects of the global warming in the U.S. in the last 12 months:
1 - Hurricanes: the largest number of hurricanes on record including the strongest ever recorded (Wilma), the third strongest on record (Rita) and the fith and most devastating hurricane ever recorded (Katrina).

2 - Tornadoes: the strongest and most frequent tornadoes on record including the highest numeber of tornadoes on record. Tornadoes hit the north of New York City in July and it never happened before escpecially so distantly for the planes.

3 - The biggest and deadly floading for torrential rains in Washington D.C., Pennsylvania, Delaware, New Jersey and New England.
4 - The warmest January on record in New York City (it was spring).

5 - The strongest Blizzard on record in New York City on February 12th (80 cm, 26.8 inches of snow) which created huge floading the week after that because the temperature rised enormously.
6 - The hottest summer on record. In the month of July the whole country from the west to east coast on fron north to th Gulf of Mexico has reched an average temperature of 37 degrees centigrade (100 degrees farenheit). Some States had average temperatures of 40 degrees centigrade (105 degrees farenheit) with peaks between 45 and 50 degrees in the dead valley (120-130 degrees farenheit).
7 - The highest number of fires on record in the west coast.
Last but not least the Hurricane center forecast that a storm much more powerful than Katrina is going to hit a densely populated area of the United States and that the temperature of the water between the west florida coast and Long Island is going to grow increasing the probability that cities like Washington D.C and New York could be hit by a major (at least category 2) hurricane.
So... the movie "The day after tomorrow" doesn't seem too far away.
